lodown one of the oldest vert scenes on the east coast has to the mount trashmore ramp in virginia beach. so much history went down on that ramp and a scene built up around it. from what i remember, the ramp went through several resurfacings and even some size changes before it was closed and torn down. there were some replacing ramps around town, but none ever lasted and the fork crew had to drive all around the midatlantic for good terrain. so now here it is years later and after going to meetings and the usual city fun stuff, theres a nice new big vert ramp going up. and im stoked to hear this because those guys around there are dedicated and in it for the right reasons thats why they are still skating. not just skating but killing the vert. heres some photos virgil might have sent me.
